The Malawi Knowledge Network (MAKNET) is a knowledge management network established in 2009 to promote research, policy, development, and networking, making it the first of its kind in Malawi. The network is supported by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and is currently hosted by the Malawi Polytechnic, a constituent college of the University of Malawi.

The aim of the network is to facilitate sharing of knowledge, expertise, resource materials, best practices, lessons and experiences. It is also intended to facilitate effective engagement by stakeholders in advocacy for national and regional development agendas. The network contains a database for inventory of a wide range of content including expertise and skills; institutions and development agencies; location and abridged information from research and policy analysis work in Malawi and the region; online debate forum; training materials and other online resources; search facilities; among others. The network also provides a platform for disseminating research findings and review of their policy relevance, and broadening accessibility to a worldwide audience. Researchers, policy analysts, academics, practitioners and policy makers in government, private sector, civil society and other interested parties will find this network valuable.
